8 Inch Trailer Wheel and Tyre Assemblies

Each assembly comes with the tyre already fitted to a steel wheel, so there's no need to arrange tyre fitting. Choose from 4.80/4.00-8 and 16.5x6.5-8 wheels, or wider 22x11.00-8 Kenda Scorpion wheels, available as a single or a pair. One 22x11.00-8 wheel also comes with a matching 4" PCD taper hub assembly. Each listing shows the stud count, PCD, centre bore and offset, so you can check the fit before ordering.

8 Inch Trailer Tyres

If you're fitting a new tyre to your existing wheel, we stock the Kenda K371 4.80/4.00-8 as a 4 ply tubeless tyre, or as a 6 ply tyre supplied with a TR13 inner tube. We also stock the Deli S-368 16.5x6.5-8 in 6 ply.

8 Inch Trailer Rims

Our 8 inch steel trailer rims come in 2.5Jx8 and 7Jx8 widths, both with a 4 stud 4" PCD and 67mm centre bore. The 7Jx8 is the right width for a 22x11.00-8 tyre. Check the measurements on your current wheel before ordering, or see our tyre size guide for how to measure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size tyres fit an 8 inch trailer wheel?

Our 8 inch trailer tyre sizes include 4.80/4.00-8, 16.5x6.5-8 and 22x11.00-8. The last number in the size is the rim diameter in inches. Always match the size printed on the sidewall of your current tyre.

Do 8 inch trailer tyres need an inner tube?

Not always. Our Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 4 ply is tubeless. If your rim needs a tube, we also sell the 4.80/4.00-8 6 ply as a tyre and TR13 inner tube set.

How much weight can an 8 inch trailer tyre carry?

It depends on the load index. In our range, a 4.80/4.00-8 62M carries up to 265kg per tyre, a 4.80/4.00-8 70M up to 335kg and a 16.5x6.5-8 73M up to 365kg.

Is a 4 inch PCD the same as 100mm?

No, although they are very close (4 inch is 101.6mm). The easiest way to tell them apart is the centre bore. On our wheels, a 4 inch PCD has a 67mm centre bore and a 100mm PCD has a 60mm centre bore.

Do you sell an 8 inch trailer wheel with a hub?

Yes. One of our 22x11.00-8 wheels on a 4 stud 4" PCD comes with a matching 4" PCD taper hub assembly, so you can replace the hub at the same time.
